Sweet and Savory Delight Returns to Columbia!

Hey there, dessert lovers of Columbia! Mark your calendars and get your taste buds ready because Robinson Room has officially reopened its doors! This charming dessert and cocktail bar is back in action as of November 7, and it’s made quite the move to a new snazzy location at 1625 Main St.. You might remember that the Robinson Room was previously located just across the street at 1614 Main St. until mid-October, making this reopening a highly anticipated moment for fans of sweet indulgences.

Where to Find Robinson Room?

If you’re wondering where to find this delightful spot now, it’s nestled perfectly between the popular Grand on Main restaurant and the lively boutique bowling alley, not to mention it’s right next door to the delicious Sweet Cream Co. ice cream shop. Talk about a winning location! Now you can easily bounce between your favorite guilty pleasures.

The Glow-Up Continues!

Excited about what’s in store? So are we! Robinson Room took to social media to share that they are still fine-tuning a few things and working out the details of their new look. But fret not, because they couldn’t keep those beloved cocktails and desserts from their loyal customers for much longer. The buzz on Instagram is that while Robinson Room is back, the team is gearing up for a fabulous glow-up that you won’t want to miss. Get ready for some amazing new savory tapas, delicious desserts, and an all-new fall cocktail menu!

A Little Bit of History

For a little background, Robinson Room first debuted on the lower floor of the Grand on Main before making its way to the former spot at 1614 Main in the spring of 2023. With its exciting move to 1625 Main, it seems that Robinson Room is all about embracing change and keeping things fresh—something the community definitely appreciates. It’s not just about desserts here; it’s about creating an experience that everyone can rave about!

What Else is Happening?

The reopening of Robinson Room isn’t just a standalone event. It’s part of a recent wave of developments from LTC Hospitality Group, owned by the Middleton family, who are well-known around Columbia. They manage several restaurants in the Main Street District and beyond, such as The Grand on Main, the upscale Smoked, delightful Hanabi Hibachi and Sushi, and their beloved Chapin’s 518 Smokehouse. The bustling activity in the area is definitely adding to the vibrant dining scene in Columbia!

What’s Closing?

While we’re celebrating Robinson Room’s return, it’s important to note that not everything is roses. The long-running Good Life Cafe recently announced its closure, transitioning from 1614 Main St. to 1216 Taylor St. since spring 2023. Change is in the air, and the dining scene is constantly evolving. In a related note, Peak Drift Brewing is tweaking its plans for a previously announced taproom. Instead, they’ll continue to focus on production and distribution at their facility on 3452 North Main St., with their official taproom now hosted at Smoked.

Join the Fun!

It’s an exciting time for Columbia! Whether you’re perched at a cozy table at Robinson Room sipping on a craft cocktail or taking a stroll between the delicious offerings nearby, there’s so much food fun to explore!
