Leadership Change: Tim James Appointed to South Carolina and North Carolina Chamber Executives Board

Sunny Skies and Exciting News in Greater Cayce

Hey there, Greater Cayce! What a lovely day we’re having, isn’t it? With sunshine and just a few friendly afternoon clouds, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy the beautiful community we all call home. The forecast tells us to expect a high of 72°F today, with a nice gentle breeze blowing in from the southwest at about 5 to 10 mph. So, it might be a good idea to grab that light jacket if you’re out and about later since the low tonight dips down to around 55°F. Don’t forget—there’s a slight chance of a rain shower lurking in the clouds, but let’s keep our fingers crossed that it holds off!

Exciting Leadership News!

Now onto some big news that’s bringing even more cheer to our community! Tim James, the hardworking president and CEO of the Greater Cayce – West Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Programs, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the South Carolina and North Carolina Chamber Executives. How awesome is that?

Tim was selected by his peers for a prestigious three-year term during the recent Carolina Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE) conference in beautiful Blowing Rock, North Carolina. It’s incredible to see our very own community leader stepping up on a larger stage.

A Year of Accomplishments

Let’s rewind for a second. Just last October, our Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce snagged the coveted Chamber of the Year title. This achievement was no small feat, and it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of Tim and everyone involved. Tim started his journey with a one-year appointment last year and has already shown how impactful his leadership can be.

“Being involved over the last year with peer professionals from both North and South Carolina has helped our CWC Chamber prosper in so many ways,” Tim noted. He firmly believes that our community reaps great benefits from this involvement, and we couldn’t agree more!

Support from the Chamber Board

The support for Tim is strong. Chamber Chair Lindsey Miles emphasized this by saying, “Our Chamber Board unanimously voted to support Tim in the position of Board member with CACCE. We recognize the huge return on investment we get from his networking with executives from both South Carolina and North Carolina.” It’s clear that everyone is on board, watching him help shape the future for Chambers across these two states.

Passing the Torch

Not only is Tim stepping into new territory, but he’s also graciously passing on the title of Chamber of the Year to two deserving Chambers for 2025: York County and Hilton Head. What a generous gesture! It’s all about lifting each other up, and Tim is really showing us how it’s done.

A Community to Be Proud Of

As we bask in today’s lovely weather and celebrate the exciting news of our local leaders, let’s take a moment to reflect on how wonderful it is to live in such a vibrant community. Whether it’s enjoying a walk in the sunshine or connecting with a neighbor, this is what makes Greater Cayce a special place to be.

So let’s keep the positive vibes going, shall we? And who knows? Maybe later today, the friendships and connections we foster will lead to even greater achievements for our community. Here’s to sunny days, warm winds, and uplifting news! 🌞
