Columbia Residents: Your Voice Matters! Join Us for Citizen Input Meetings
Hey Columbia! Ready to roll up those sleeves and get involved in shaping the future of our lovely city? Well, you’re in luck! The City of Columbia is excited to announce a series of upcoming Citizen Input Meetings happening across each city council district. This is a golden opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas on community development!
What’s the Buzz About?
So, what’s all this chatter about? The city’s Community Development Department is cooking up a new Consolidated Action Plan, and they need your help! Every five years, this important plan is crafted based on guidelines from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (that’s a mouthful, right?). The goal of this plan is to guide Columbia’s community development strategy by sniffing out priority needs through a solid assessment of our city’s demographics, obstacles to fair housing, market analysis, and—of course—your valuable input!
