Lexington Moves Forward with Traffic Plans for HWY-378, Corley Mill Road

LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington town officials are addressing long-standing traffic issues at the intersection of Highway 378 and Corley Mill Road. The intersection has been a source of frustration for residents and travelers due to congestion and safety hazards.

The construction project, proposed four years ago, aims to install a traffic split to facilitate left turns onto Corley Mill Road without crossing into oncoming traffic. The project will also realign Corley Mill Road and Riverchase Way to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion on HWY-378.

Laurin Barnes, communications manager with Lexington, mentioned that the project will bring much-needed improvements to the area, ensuring smoother traffic flow and safer conditions for drivers and pedestrians.
