HERE NEWS – Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo comes to Colonial Life Arena

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo is making its way to the heart of Columbia at Colonial Life Arena, promising an action-packed family event. Here are the thrilling highlights you can expect to witness:

Bareback Riding

The rules for bareback riding are as challenging as the event itself. Cowboys must hold on to the horse with only one hand for a daring 8-second ride. A cowboy’s spurs must make contact with the horse on each jump, showcasing skill and control. Judges evaluate both the cowboy and the horse, with scores divided between spurring technique and the horse’s power and agility.

Saddle Bronc Riding

Saddle bronc riding demands perfect harmony between horse and rider. The rider must maintain synchronization with the horse’s movements, while holding onto the reign connected to the horse’s halter with one hand. Any contact with the free arm leads to disqualification. Judges assess the horse’s bucking action and the rider’s control and spurring technique.

Barrel Racing

Barrel racing is a high-speed competition where the fastest time wins. Horses navigate a clover pattern around three barrels, aiming to leave all barrels standing to avoid penalties. Precision and speed are key to victory in this event.

Bull Riding

Bull riding is hailed as the most dangerous 8 seconds in sports. Cowboys aim to stay on the bull for the entire duration while showcasing skill and control. Judges evaluate both the cowboy’s ride and the bull’s performance. A touch with the free arm results in no score, with bull fighters ready to intervene if needed.
