As an accomplished woman in the banking industry and a member of the St. James Lutheran Church’s handbell choir, her spirit of generosity and cheerfulness left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed her path.

A Lexingtonian at Heart

Born on February 23, 1950, Deborah was the proud daughter of Corene Corley Roof and Enoch Clyde Roof. Apart from her bank work and church services, Deborah loved to laugh and dance. She was also quite passionate about bird-watching, finding joy in observing the wonders of nature through her binoculars. She was known to show resilience and was always seen busy spreading happiness and love, even while battling Parkinson’s disease.

Beloved Wife, Mother, and Sister

Deborah is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Derral “Dick” Kyzer. Their daughter, Amanda Nicole “Nikki” Kyzer, and son, Kevin Charles Kyzer, will forever cherish their loving mother’s memory. Her brother, Michael Brent Roof (Lynn) too mourns his sister’s loss. Deborah was predeceased by her parents and brother, Gerald Mathias Roof (Sharon).
