Lexington’s Police Department Offers Life-Saving Training Classes

The Lexington Police Chief, Terrence Green, recently announced the schedule for the fourth quarter of this year’s free training classes in the highly acclaimed STOP THE BLEED and C.R.A.S.E. (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) programs.

On the other hand, the C.R.A.S.E. class also lasts about two hours, but this one is designed around the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training). Participants will learn essential strategies and proven plans for surviving an active shooter scenario. Both courses will be held at the Lexington Police Department, located at 111 Maiden Lane. Each class is set to start at 6:00 p.m. and will last approximately two hours.

- STOP THE BLEED: Tuesday, October 8, and Tuesday, November 12
- C.R.A.S.E.: Thursday, October 10, and Thursday, November 14
