The South Carolina Department of Education has just released its annual report cards for schools across the state, and it’s created quite a buzz. Of all the schools in Lexington County, 15 were awarded an excellent rating, 21 were marked as good, 31 were considered average, while 11 fell into the below average category, and three were labeled as unsatisfactory. Moving on to categories like good and average, schools in Lexington 1 and 2 are trailing behind with some notable ones. It’s great to see so many schools making strides and being recognized for their hard work!

As for the entire state of South Carolina, the numbers are pretty remarkable! Across all schools, 230 institutions (that’s 18.3%) received an excellent rating. Not to be outdone, 316 schools (25.2%) found themselves in the good category, while a significant 477 (38%) were rated as average. However, not all the news is great; 186 schools (14.9%) were marked below average, and 47 schools (3.7%) were noted as unsatisfactory.
