According to buzzing locals and reliable planning documents, this coffee haven is on the horizon and set to become a must-visit destination!

What’s Brewing?

Right now, you can see a large sign at the site that cheerfully announces: “Brewing Soon!” The excitement in the air is palpable, as construction work was already underway when a reporter checked in on Monday morning. The local community is eagerly anticipating the fabulous flavors and cozy ambiance that Canal Coffee is known for!

Where You Can Sip and Savor

Canal Coffee Co. isn’t just another chain; they have made a name for themselves with locations scattered throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, and even Florida. With eight existing locations, you may already be familiar with their shops in Columbia, Irmo, and South Congaree, to name a few! And now, Lexington is next on their growing list.

A Menu That Wows

One of the standout features of Canal Coffee is their diverse menu. From good old traditional brews to delicious specialty coffees, you will have plenty to choose from. Get ready for seasonal treats, like the mouthwatering fall harvest cold brew, blending brown sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin for that oh-so-cozy autumn feel, all topped with dreamy shortbread cold foam!

But wait, there’s more on the menu! If you’re into something a tad different, Canal has a selection of energy drinks, smoothies, teas, and even hot breakfast items, like spicy sausage biscuits to pair with your early morning coffee. Talk about a feast for your taste buds!

High Traffic, Big Potential

One thing is clear – the location is prime! Situated in a bustling area of Lexington, approximately 33,000 cars whiz by that section of Columbia Avenue each day. It’s bound to be a popular spot, especially with nearby businesses like Pizza Hut and Applebee’s, plus a Best Western hotel just a hop over the road.

Fun fact: this Canal Coffee will also be close to another favorite, CLUTCH Coffee Bar, which is also carving out its niche in the Midlands coffee scene. Seems like there’s no shortage of choice for local coffee lovers!

As of now, an opening date has yet to be officially announced, but the buzz around town suggests that it won’t be long before we’ll be able to slide into Canal Coffee for our daily caffeine fix. So, keep your eyes peeled and your tastebuds ready!
