The Buzz Around Town

If you haven’t heard the news yet, you must’ve been living under a rock! The town of Irmo has been buzzing with excitement about the grand opening. Local officials took to Facebook to spread the word and urged everyone to “get ready to savor those hamburgers, fries, and Frosty shakes.” If you’re a fan of fast food, this should definitely pique your interest!

Wendy’s Among Other Dining Options

This new Wendy’s is joining a growing corridor of flavor along Broad River Road and Dutch Fork Road. If you’re feeling hungry, there are plenty of options right around the corner. Just a few steps away, you can find all your favorites including McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Arby’s, and Freddy’s. Want to spice things up? Try the San Jose Mexican restaurant nearby!

Traffic and Trends in the Area

As the popularity of this area continues to grow, it’s no wonder that traffic in the region is also on the rise. According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation, about 21,000 vehicles pass through that stretch of Broad River Road every day. That number is expected to increase with new businesses cropping up left and right, which is great news for both locals and hungry travelers!

Wendy’s Stands Out

For those who love a classic fast food experience, Wendy’s surely makes a strong case. With over 6,000 locations across the United States and 139 of those being right here in South Carolina, Wendy’s is a favorite among many. In Columbia alone, there are 11 locations, with a recent addition on Platt Springs Road near Red Bank in Lexington County making waves.

Burgers, Frostys, and New Saucy Nuggs!

Let’s not forget why so many people adore Wendy’s in the first place: mouthwatering cheeseburgers, irresistible Frosty desserts, and crispy chicken nuggets. And if you’re up for something new, you might want to try their recently introduced Saucy Nuggs, which are delicious chicken nuggets already dipped in flavorful sauces. Talk about a game-changer for dipping enthusiasts!

What’s Next for Irmo?

The excitement doesn’t stop there! Right next door to the new Wendy’s, there’s another restaurant in the works. Biscuitville is currently under construction and hints at a winter opening on their signage. With so many dining choices popping up in Irmo, it feels like we’re in for a feast!
