If you recall, this area was partially evacuated just last weekend due to flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. Fortunately, the weather is looking much better now, but it seems not everyone is minding the calm.
The police received a radio call about some suspicious individuals riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) in the area. It was clearly a situation that needed eyes on it, and the officers from various divisions, including the Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Division, jumped into action. Before you know it, they were on the scene, ready to get to the bottom of things!
Quick Action Leads to a Big Discovery
When the officers arrived, they immediately began questioning the ATV riders to find out what was going on. And guess what? Their efforts paid off! After a thorough interrogation and a check on the equipment, the police discovered that one of the suspects had a stolen trailer attached to his pickup truck. Can you imagine that surprise?
The individual, now identified as Russell Coffey, didn’t get very far in his plans. He was promptly arrested on the spot for Possession of Stolen Property.
