Circle K Sets Its Sights on New Convenience Store in Lexington County

Exciting News for Lexington: Circle K Plans New Store

Lexington County is buzzing with news about a well-known convenience store brand making its way to town! Circle K, a favorite among many for quick snacks and beverages, is eyeing a new location at the northeast corner of Augusta Highway and Wise Ferry Road. How cool is that?

Circle K’s Growing Presence

For those who might not know, Circle K has been a staple in the convenience store world since 1951. The company kicked off its journey in Texas and has expanded like wildfire, with almost 7,000 stores scattered all over the United States and even way beyond, with locations in countries like Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. You might remember the store from the cult classic movie “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” where something strange was said to be afoot at Circle K. Like a good movie, this brand has proven to have staying power!

The New Location

The proposed site for this new Circle K is just about a mile east of Lexington High School. This is a bustling area, with approximately 24,000 cars zooming by every day! Nearby, you can find a variety of amenities, from restaurants to doctor’s offices and residential neighborhoods. Talk about a prime spot!

Planning in Progress

According to the Lexington County Planning Commission’s agenda, this exciting new project has already made its appearance in the September and October packets. It seems that the wheels are starting to turn! The property is under the care of Cason Development Group. In a recent chat about the project, Frank Cason, CEO of Cason Development, mentioned that indeed, this Circle K venture is still in the very early stages. While everyone is eager, we might have to hold our horses a bit as construction is not expected to kick off until around 2025.

What to Expect from Circle K

So, what can guests look forward to when Circle K opens its doors? Well, anyone familiar with the brand knows it carries the usual convenience fare: delicious coffee, refreshing sodas, a plethora of snacks, and car care products. It’s the kind of place you can pop into for a quick drink on a hot day or grab some munchies before heading home from work.

Already Making Strides in the Area

This isn’t the only Circle K popping up in Lexington. There’s another store currently under construction on 1512 North Lake Drive. It’s clear that Circle K is committed to making its mark in the Lexington area, offering convenience to residents and visitors alike.

Why It Matters

Circle K’s anticipated arrival is something to keep an eye on, as new businesses often bring more choices and convenience for locals. Fueling up on snacks or grabbing that much-needed coffee fix will soon be easier. Plus, with the vast traffic flow, having a well-established brand like Circle K around could also mean job opportunities for the community.

So here’s to keeping our fingers crossed for progress and looking forward to all that Circle K will bring to Lexington County. Who knows what other developments might follow? Stay tuned, Lexington!
