And if you fancy some history with your holiday, catch a glimpse of how the Robert Mills House and Hampton-Preston Mansion were beautifully decorated during the 19th century with the Historic Columbia Holiday House Tours.

Theatrical Spirit

And for the theater lovers, there’s a fantastic mix of entertainment! Experience the heartwarming tale of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 4D at the South Carolina State Museum. Join Rudolph and his pals on their adventures and battle the Abominable Snow Monster! Another highlight includes a unique version of Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol, at the Harbison Theatre. Don’t miss the Student Choreography Showcase at Drayton Hall, featuring original dance works presented by talented students from the University of South Carolina.

Feeling Festive with Parades

This weekend is also packed with not one, not two, but six amazing Christmas parades across the Columbia area! Set your alarms for 10 a.m. on Saturday for the grand Carolina Carillon Parade right in downtown Columbia. Over 125 entries will march by, from floats to marching bands! Following that, enjoy delightful festivities at the Lexington Snowball Christmas Parade at 3 p.m., and then make your way to see the Blythewood Christmas Parade also at 2 p.m. If that’s not enough, catch the Ridgeway Christmas Parade and the charming Pelion Christmas Parade of Lights later in the day!
