Community Initiatives and Charity

On the community front, the City of Columbia, in collaboration with Columbia Green, will be holding a press conference on July 13th to announce an initiative that aims to plant 1,750 new shade trees on private property at no cost to property owners over the next five years. Further, Dress to Impress! is appealing for donations of new clothing to help students in Richland School Districts 1 and 2 start their school year looking stylish and confident.
