Columbia’s Exciting Calendar of Events for the Coming Weeks

Art Exhibitions

The Alexandra’s Art Studio, located at 111 Sparkleberry Crossing Road, offers adult classes, kids classes, and kids camps. The Columbia SC Visitors Center has partnered with One Columbia for Arts and Culture to host artist popups every weekend until July 28.

In the religious sphere, the Shandon United Methodist Church will showcase an exhibition of oil paintings by Ashley (Stone) Ozmint through August 30, providing the community with a taste of concrete artistry and faith.

Charity and Social Initiatives

The Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church is set to hold Vacation Bible School for kids from July 12 to 13, promising fun and learning in a spiritual context.

The American Pickleball Tour (APT) will make its much-anticipated return to Columbia from July 19 to July 21, bringing together sports enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the Boys and Girls Club Jackson Teen Center will feature GG Jackson, the rising star of the Memphis Grizzlies for a special event on July 30.

Meetings and Clubs

For those interested in community involvement, numerous clubs and groups are open to new memberships. This includes the Spring Valley Rotary Club, Forest Acres Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Columbia East, and Greater Irmo Lions Club among others. Moreover, organizations such as the ADD/ADHD Support Group of the Midlands, SC Youth Advocate Program, and Promise of Serenity NAR-ANON Meeting offer support to those dealing with specific life challenges.
