Columbia Unveils Stunning Holiday Ornament Celebrating Arcade Building

Columbia Adores New Holiday Ornament!

Hello Columbia! The festive season is just around the corner, and it’s time to get excited about decking the halls with a special new piece! Earlier this week, in a delightful ceremony, Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann and representatives from the Babcock Center came together to unveil this year’s official city ornament. And guess what? This ornament is a stunning tribute to one of our city’s historic gems—the Arcade Building!

Celebrating 32 Years of Charm

This year marks the 32nd addition to the City of Columbia collectors’ series of holiday ornaments, and it’s a beauty! Crafted from 24-karat gold on brass, it’s not just a decoration; it’s a wonderful piece of art that captures the essence of what makes Columbia unique. It’s housed in a sleek felt case, making it an easy gift to wrap up with love.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or just visiting, this ornament is a charming reminder of our beloved city. Plus, it’s something that can be cherished for years to come, making it a fantastic addition to any collection.

Support a Great Cause

Now here’s the best part: by buying this ornament, you’re helping out the Babcock Center Foundation, which is a fantastic non-profit organization that supports over 800 individuals with lifelong disabilities in Richland and Lexington counties. Isn’t it wonderful to know that you can spread some holiday cheer while also making a difference in someone else’s life? The cost of this collector’s item is just $24, making it a thoughtful donation that goes back into our community.

Where to Get Yours!

Excited to get your hands on one? You can purchase the ornaments right at the Babcock Center Foundation Office located at 2725 Banny Jones Avenue in West Columbia. If that’s not convenient, no worries! You can also visit the Columbia Visitor’s Center to grab one. Alternatively, for those who prefer online shopping, you can order by phone at 803-799-1970 or hop onto the Babcock Center Foundation’s website at www.babcockcenter.org.

Weather Forecast

76°F, with a gentle breeze blowing in from the west at about 5 to 10 mph. Just a heads-up, there’s a slight chance of a rain shower, so keep a light jacket handy! For those of you out and about on this beautiful day, the evening will likely be mostly clear, cooling down to about 54°F with light winds.

Get in the Holiday Spirit!
