Columbia Takes Big Steps to Secure Future Water Supply

As we recover from the devastating flood of October 2015, the city council has approved a grand plan named the City of Columbia Resilient Water Supply Project. This initiative is crucial for ensuring that our community has access to clean water, rain or shine!

So, what exactly does this project involve? Well, it includes an ambitious plan to install a new water supply intake right in the Congaree River, thanks to Columbia Water. The brilliance of this new intake is that it will operate independently of the existing Canal water supply system.
