Columbia's Main Street District Kicks Off Holiday Season with Exciting Elf Scavenger Hunt

Columbia’s Main Street District Embraces the Holiday Cheer with Elf Scavenger Hunt!

Hey there, Columbia! The holiday season is in full swing, and there’s no better way to get into the festive spirit than with a fun-filled scavenger hunt! Get ready to grab your friends, family, or co-workers because the Main Street District is hiding over 20 elves in participating local businesses, and they’re waiting for you to find them!

Join the Elf on the Shelf Hunt

Starting this December, the Main Street District is inviting everyone to join in on a delightful quest to hunt down those sneaky elves! All you have to do is locate an elf nestled in one of the participating stores and post a quick pic on your Instagram story. Easy peasy, right?

Here’s how it works:

  1. Find an elf in one of the participating businesses.
  2. Snap a photo of the elf and post it to your Instagram story.
  3. Tag @MainStColaSC along with the business where you found the elf.
  4. Make sure you’re following both @MainStColaSC and the business’s account.
  5. For every elf you find, you can enter again and again!

But wait, there’s more! Everyone who participates will also have the chance to win some fabulous gift cards to the businesses involved. The more elves you find, the more chances you have to win! Trust us, you don’t want to miss out on this!

Mark Your Calendars – Winners on New Year’s Eve!

So when will the winners be announced? Circle New Year’s Eve on your calendar because that’s when five lucky participants will be selected at random to take home those gift cards. The Main Street District team will be keeping a close eye on who enters the contest each day, so make sure you’re getting those entries in for your chance to score some sweet prizes!

A Little Note from the Organizers

Kelsey Bickley, the Director of Marketing for the Main Street District, is just as excited as we are! She shared her thoughts about the event: “We’re thrilled to have such a good mix of businesses participating in this inaugural Elf on a Shelf scavenger hunt. Our goal is to generate some buzz on social media, promote the district as a holiday destination, and just have some fun with our merchants and the general public this holiday season.”
