Tragic Shooting Outside Bojangles in Columbia, SC Claims Life of Local Woman

The victim, identified by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office as 40-year-old Antoinette Michelle Hammonds-Colon from Columbia, was found with a serious gunshot wound to the upper body around 10 a.m. on Thursday. Shortly after the incident, she was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on Friday.

Coroner Margaret Fisher reported that an autopsy is scheduled for November 18 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, shedding light on the details surrounding this senseless violence.
