This December, the heartwarming spirit of remembrance fills the air in Columbia, South Carolina, as Governor Henry McMaster has officially proclaimed it as “Wreaths Across America Month.” This initiative aims to honor and celebrate our esteemed Veterans who have bravely served our country. The proclamation is a friendly reminder of the sacrifices made and the heroes among us.

Big Plans for December 14th

Mark your calendars for December 14, because it’s going to be a day to remember! Over 2 million volunteers will come together across the nation, placing gorgeous green wreaths on the gravestones of our Veterans. But that’s not all! Right here in Columbia, at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, folks will gather at noon to lay over 13,000 wreaths in tribute to our local heroes.

How It Works

Each wreath costs a mere $17 and is honored through sponsorship with Wreaths Across America. This wonderful initiative works to ensure that every Veteran gravesite is adorned with a beautiful wreath, symbolizing respect, love, and memory. It’s a small commitment that makes a big statement!
