Excitement Grows in West Columbia for the Meeting Street Music Fest!

West Columbia is buzzing with energy as the area prepares for the 2nd annual Meeting Street Music Festival happening this Friday and Saturday, September 6 and 7. After a successful inaugural year, folks can’t wait to enjoy another weekend of thrilling tunes and vibrant festivities!

What to Expect

The festival is set to kick off on Friday at 6 p.m. in the lovely West Columbia Amphitheater, located at 109 Alexander Road. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better, featuring an impressive variety of musical acts spanning multiple genres. Best part? It’s all FREE! So gather your friends and family for a fantastic evening filled with entertainment, delicious food trucks, and refreshing drinks including wine and beer.

Friday Night Lineup

Mark your calendars for Friday night’s schedule:

  • ✨ Planet Fitness Waterfront Warm-Up at the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater with Nu-Blu from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
  • 🎸 At the Savage Craft Ale Works Stage (430 Center Street), catch The Gaspumpers from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
  • 🎤 For a little jazzy flair, head over to Chayz Lounge Stage (607 Meeting Street) for Jamie Wright and Rod Foster & Company from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.
  • 🎶 Don’t miss Backline appearing at Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor (710 Meeting Street) from 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Parking Made Easy

Parking near the festival grounds is super convenient with various options:

  • Capitol Square – 483 Sunset Blvd
  • Interactive Art Park – 425 Meeting Street (Center Street entrance)
  • Free Public Parking Garage – 310 Court Avenue
  • Carraway Park – 212 Hudson Street

There’s also an Uber/Lyft pickup area set up at 109 Alexander Road once the festivities wind down!

Saturday’s Extravaganza

And just when you thought the fun ended, the excitement continues on Saturday, starting at 3:00 p.m..

  • 🎤 KW Beverage Stage features Seventy Six and Sunny kicking things off at 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
  • 🌟 Dance along with Who’s Bad, the ultimate Michael Jackson tribute band, from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
  • 🎉 The headliner, War, takes the stage from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Of course, there are loads of other local acts performing at various stages throughout the festival, so there’s never a dull moment!

Besides incredible live performances, there’s so much more to enjoy at the Meeting Street Music Fest.
