Exciting Changes Ahead for Robinson Room in Downtown Columbia!

Hey there, Columbia! It looks like there’s some buzz happening in our downtown area, especially when it comes to one of our favorite spots for dessert, cocktails, and delightful tapas. Yes, we’re talking about the Robinson Room, which has just announced some big news – they’re moving to a new location on Main Street!

What’s Happening?

On Thursday, the Robinson Room took to social media to share the exciting development, assuring all their fans that they will still be hanging around Main Street. They mentioned that they are committed to bringing their guests an even elevated dining experience and are working hard behind the scenes on something special.

In their message, they said, “Robinson Room will soon be relocating to a new address on Main Street as part of our commitment to bringing you an even more elevated and unforgettable dining experience.” Doesn’t that sound intriguing?

Counting Down the Days

For the dedicated fans of Robinson Room, there’s a bit of bittersweet news. Their final day of service at the current location on 1614 Main Street will be Sunday, October 20. So unless you want to miss out on one last sweet treat or cocktail, make sure to stop by before then!

Where to Next?

While they haven’t disclosed the exact new location just yet, the owners assure us that it will still be on Main Street, keeping the vibrant energy of the downtown area alive. It’s always exciting to find out what businesses have planned for their new digs, and we can only imagine that the Robinson Room team has some fantastic ideas brewing!

The Robinson Room’s Journey

For those who might not know, the Robinson Room is part of the LTC Hospitality Group, which owns several other great places in the Main Street District, including The Grand on Main and the upscale Smoked, along with some delightful Japanese cuisine at Hanabi Hibachi and Sushi, and the flavorful Chapin’s 518 Smokehouse. All of these spots contribute to the diverse and exciting food scene we love in downtown Columbia!

Recent Changes in the Area

Interestingly enough, Robinson Room’s move is happening amid a wave of changes in the downtown core. Just recently, the long-running Good Life Cafe announced its closure after moving to 1216 Taylor St. in spring 2023. Meanwhile, LTC Hospitality has recently opened the 1624 Bistro, a breakfast and lunch spot located at 1624 Main St. It’s clear that there’s a lot happening!

The Future Looks Bright!

As fans of the Robinson Room gear up for the move, we’re all eager to see what exciting plans the team has in store at their new location. They mentioned their focus on great cocktails, ambiance, and community spirit, elements that make dining out such a joyful experience.

The anticipation is building, and we can’t wait to gather again at the Robinson Room, enjoying the atmosphere and indulging in all the wonderful desserts and drinks they have to offer!
