Exciting Christmas Events Coming to Cayce!

Hey there, Cayce! The magical season we all look forward to is finally around the corner, and this year, the City of Cayce is pulling out all the stops for its 2024 Christmas festivities. Get ready, because starting December 5th, the holidays are about to get a whole lot brighter!

Kick Off the Season with a Tree Lighting

Mark your calendars! On December 5th, the city will hold its annual tree lighting event at 6 P.M.. It’s the perfect way to kick-start the festivities. This year, you can expect some delightful performances from the talented students at Busbee Creative Arts Academy. They’ll be bringing along their band, chorus, and dancers to help spread holiday cheer!

As we gather to light the city’s magnificent 22-foot Christmas tree, let’s not forget the spirit of giving. The wonderful Woman’s Club of Cayce will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for Cayce Cares. Your contributions will support local families in need, benefiting organizations like God’s Helping Hands and the Scooter Scott Project. So, if you’re coming, don’t forget to bring along some food items to donate!

A Cozy Evening at Carols Along the Riverwalk

After the tree lighting, it’s time to wrap up in warm clothes and head over to the The Cayce Riverwalk on December 6th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.. Grab some hot chocolate and take a stroll while enjoying the lovely sounds of the season. This year, it’s all about reverse caroling, where local church choirs and musicians will be performing all along the first half-mile of the Riverwalk. What a fun way to get into the holiday spirit!

Worried about parking? No need! You can park your car at Brookland-Cayce High School and catch a free trolley ride right to the Riverwalk entrance.

Celebrate Christmas Traditions at the Historical Museum

And that’s not all! The celebrations continue with Christmas Traditions: Olde & New on December 7th from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M.. Head over to the Cayce Historical Museum located at 1800 12th Street for an enchanting experience. Each room in the museum will be filled with beautiful decorations, featuring trees and crafts that represent Christmases from the 18th century to now.

This festive gathering will also showcase live entertainment, a holiday market filled with local goodies, and even a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus! Don’t miss the fun and tasty light refreshments that will be available.

Join in the Fun!

So, whether you’re a longtime resident or just visiting neighborhoods like West Columbia, Springdale, or Lake Murray, make sure to join in on the joy this holiday season! The Christmas in Cayce festivities is a wonderful way to celebrate with friends and family, explore your community, and make amazing memories. The holiday magic is waiting for you – don’t miss it!
