In a move designed to enhance the spectator experience for families, the South Carolina women’s basketball team has unveiled two new gameday opportunities for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Fans attending select games will be able to enjoy a dedicated Dawn’s Day Care play area for children and indulge in a special brunch during four Sunday games.
Starting this season, fans with tickets for the designated games can bring their children to Dawn’s Day Care, where young fans can partake in a variety of fun activities. This designated play area will feature inflatables, bracelet and necklace making, poster creation, and other family-friendly options. The play area will operate from the time the doors of the Colonial Life Arena open until the end of the game, allowing parents to enjoy the game while keeping an eye on their children through windows overlooking the court. Importantly, there is no admission fee to this facility, although parents must stay with their kids during their playtime.
The Dawn’s Day Care experience kicks off on November 14, with the Gamecocks facing Coppin State in their first home game of the season, followed by another opportunity during the match against USF on December 15.
Alongside the family play area, the team is also introducing a luxurious brunch experience for the games against East Carolina (November 17), Auburn (February 2), UConn (February 16), and Kentucky (March 2). The brunch will be held in the McGuire Club and will include an impressive selection of food and drinks. Fans can enjoy bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, chicken and waffles, bagel and lox boards, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, hashbrown casserole, assorted pastries, and fresh fruits among other options. The buffet will open at the same time as the arena doors and will close at halftime.
Brunch tickets are now available for $75 per adult and $25 per child aged 12 and under for each game. Fans can also opt for a four-game package priced at $275 for adults and $75 for children aged 12 and under, offering a great way to enjoy multiple games and meals.
This initiative follows the introduction of the Fast Break Pass, which allows fans to access the arena 30 minutes before it opens to the general public. This digital ticket can be purchased for the entire season at $100 or on a game-by-game basis for a price ranging from $12 to $20, depending on the matchup. This pass is designed to help fans avoid long lines for entry and concessions, creating a more seamless experience on gameday.
The Gamecocks, who are currently ranked No. 1 in the nation, will start their season on November 10 against NC State at the Ally Tipoff in Charlotte. They will then make their home debut on November 14 against Coppin State, with the tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to stay updated on the team’s social media and official website for more details regarding the gameday experiences and the season ahead.
