This month alone, Columbia is experiencing vibrant festivities. The 37th Annual Greek Festival takes place from Thursday, September 19th to Sunday, September 22nd at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy authentic Greek food, music, and culture, all for free!

You won’t want to miss the Jubilee: Festival of Black History & Culture on Saturday, September 21st at the Mann-Simons Site. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., this free event features live performances, delicious food, and opportunities to learn about local history.

Fun and Family-friendly Activities

On Saturday, September 28th, chase the autumn vibes at the Palmetto Peanut Boil happening on Devine Street from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The competition showcases delectable recipes and is a feast for your taste buds. Oh, and don’t forget to bring the family to the Harvest Festival at The FARM 1780, featuring a you-pick pumpkin patch and local food vendors—it’s a $20 entry fee per vehicle, but worth every penny for the fun!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 6th as Five Points hosts JerryFest. This free event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. featuring live music in honor of Jerry Garcia, making it a must-see for music lovers.

Then, from October 9th to October 20th, make sure to swing by the South Carolina State Fair. Experience thrilling rides, fair food, and the charm of all 46 counties of South Carolina with tickets starting at just $10!

For Those Who Enjoy a Spooky Thrill

The Deceased Farm opens its doors on September 13th and will continue to send chills down your spine until November 2nd. This haunted attraction includes six creepy buildings, outdoor scare zones, and ghostly cornfields for anyone brave enough to take on its terrifying escapades.
