Columbia's Good Night Lights Event Promises to Bring Holiday Cheer to Hospitalized Children

Columbia Set to Light Up the Holidays with Good Night Lights Event!

Hey there, Columbia! The season of joy and giving is fast approaching, and there’s exciting news for those wanting to spread some cheer. Prisma Health Children’s Hospital is inviting everyone to join their heartwarming Good Night Lights event that’s sure to dazzle families and patients. Mark your calendars for December 1st in Columbia and December 8th in Greenville!

What’s the Hype All About?

As we all know, being in the hospital can be quite challenging for children and their families, especially during the festive season. Dr. Robin LaCroix, who serves as the medical director at the Children’s Hospital in Greenville, said it best: “For children and families especially, it can be tough to be hospitalized, but it’s even tougher over the holidays.” This event aims to create a magical atmosphere where the community comes together to lift spirits and spread positivity during a tough time.

How Does It Work?

The concept is simple yet meaningful. Families and individuals from the community will gather together, shining flashlights or blinking their car lights towards the patient windows. In a delightful twist, the children will respond by beaming their own flashlights back! Now, how cool is that? It’s like a lighthearted game that helps bridge the gap between the patients and the outside world.

Get Your Decor On!

If you want to make the night even brighter, feel free to decorate your car before arriving. It’s a nice way to really bring the holiday spirit alive! Plus, it makes for a fun activity that you can do with the family. The more festive, the better!
