There’s no shortage of things to do around town, so we’ve gathered up some festive events and activities for you to enjoy while keeping your spirits high. Just remember to breathe deep and make some time for yourself amid the holiday hustle!
Heads up! If you’re planning to use Columbia’s public parking spaces this weekend, you’ll be happy to know that the city is offering free parking. However, there are a couple of exceptions, so keep that in mind if you’re heading to the Holiday Lights on the River at Saluda Shoals Park, which runs from 6-10 p.m.
If music is your thing, don’t miss out on the Palmetto Mastersingers “Homecoming” Holiday Concert on Sunday at 4 p.m. for an afternoon filled with the enchanting sound of the season.
And talk about excitement! Santa Saturdays at the South Carolina State Museum will let you meet the jolly old fella himself and enjoy holiday-themed activities every Saturday this December!
Parades are always a highlight during the holidays! Check out the Town of Swansea’s Christmas parade, kicking off at 4 p.m. on December 1, or catch the Winnsboro Christmas parade at 4:30 p.m. It’s bound to get you into the holiday spirit!
Also, if you’re in the mood for some outdoor fun, OptOutside on the Palmetto Trail is hosted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on selected hiking trails across South Carolina. Just grab your hiking boots, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy nature’s splendors!
With all these delightful events in Columbia, there’s no reason not to get into the holiday spirit! So grab your loved ones, enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, and embrace the season. Remember, taking time for yourself amidst the holiday rush is just as important!
