Hey there, Greater Cayce West Columbia! Are you ready to kick off the holiday season in style? Well, mark your calendars because the much-anticipated Love Local Holiday Lighting Ceremony is just around the corner! Taking place on Monday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m., this event is shaping up to be a fantastic way to gather with friends, family, and neighbors while embracing the festive spirit.

Come One, Come All!

Put on your favorite holiday sweater and gather the family for an evening filled with cheer and community spirit! This wonderful event is brought to you by the Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Lexington Medical Center. The ceremony is dedicated to shining a light on our local businesses and promoting the importance of shopping local as we dive into the hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season.

Hallie Campbell, sponsorship coordinator for the Greater CWC Chamber, shared the heartwarming intent behind this festive gathering. “This ceremony began as a reflection of the Greater CWC Chamber’s commitment to supporting small businesses,” Campbell explained. “We wanted to commemorate the start of the holiday shopping season with a celebration that highlights the importance of shopping local and supporting our neighbors.” Talk about a great idea!

A Night to Remember!

So, what can you expect at this year’s ceremony? Well, the excitement kicks off with the ceremonial Flip the Switch by representatives from Lexington Medical Center. Watching as the Greater CWC Chamber Office lights up is sure to be a sight to behold, starting with a glowing green light in honor of LMC, then transitioning into a stunning display of vibrant holiday colors. It’s sure to get everyone in the festive mood!

But that’s not all! Our very own Mayor Tem Miles will be taking the stage to deliver an inspiring message about the importance of community and supporting local businesses. With the holidays around the corner, it serves as a perfect reminder of the importance of coming together and looking out for one another during this time of year.

And let’s not forget the entertainment! The evening will feature delightful performances by the talented choirs from Cyril B. Busbee Creative Arts Academy and Airport High School.
