Current Vacancies Breakdown
- Board of Zoning Appeals: This group is on the lookout for two (2) new members. Their job is critical as they make important decisions regarding zoning issues affecting the city. The term is for three (3) years.
- Climate Protection Action Committee (CPAC): If sustainability speaks to your heart, consider applying here! They need three (3) members who will work on developing and implementing sustainable community projects. The term lasts for three (3) years.
- Commercial Revolving Loan Fund (CRLF): They’re specifically looking for one (1) small business owner and applicants must be an attorney. This role involves reviewing loan applications from the Commercial Revolving Loan Fund and the term lasts for two (2) years.
- Design Development Review Commission: There are two (2) spots available in this commission: one Community Representative and one Architect. This team reviews proposed work in the city’s historic districts and designated landmarks, serving for three (3) years.
- Greater Columbia Community Relations Council (GCCRC): Help study and evaluate community relations issues! They’re looking for six (6) members who will also assist with fundraising efforts of up to $1,500. The commitment here is for three (3) years.
- Hospitality Tax Advisory Committee (H-TAX): This committee is searching for four (4) new faces, specifically two Restaurateurs, one At-Large member, and one Arts and Cultural Liaison. Your role will be to review hospitality funding applications and make recommendations – a position you can hold for two (2) years.
