Lexington’s Respected Figure, Larry Bruce Stanley Jr., Passes Away

In a tragic turn of events, Lexington, SC mourns the loss of a deeply revered community figure, Larry Bruce Stanley Jr., who passed away after a brave battle against pancreatic cancer on August 30, 2024.

An Imprint of Fond Memories

Born on August 27, 1963, in Columbia, SC, Larry Bruce Stanley Jr. was known for his caring, kind, and fiercely loyal nature. A devoted family man, Stanley is survived by his wife, Keisha Carroll Stanley; sons, Justin Tyler and Dalton Ryan; and daughter, Cierra Faye Banks of Lexington. He also leaves his adorable grandkids – grandson, Bentley Munn, and his granddaughters, Presley Munn, and Willow Stanley. Equally cherishing his memories are his siblings, nephews, and nieces. His parents, Larry Bruce Stanley and Mary Jo McRae, as well as Sherry Howell, precede him in passing.

A Life Intertwined with Passion and Fun

Stanley was renowned for his zeal for life, his passion for golf, and his sense of humor. His Saturday morning golfing sessions at Orangeburg Country Club, his firm devotion to the Carolina Gamecocks, and his time with friends at various restaurants on Friday nights were aspects of his life that brought him immense happiness. He found solace at home with his beloved fur babies, Noah and Stormie.

A Connoisseur in the Building Industry

Stanley significantly contributed to the local building industry, working with Builders Wholesale Flooring since 2005 and most recently serving as the Branch Manager. His professionalism and expertise were greatly valued within the community, making his loss even more saddening.

Adieu to a Man of Faith

Faith played a vital role in Stanley’s life. His favorite saying “God has got this” encapsulated his resilience and unwavering belief in divine providence. This faith guided him through his life’s journey, serving as an inspiration to all who knew him.

Paying Tributes and Final Goodbyes

The bereaved family invites all to share their grief and pay their respects at Barr-Price Funeral Home, 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024, from 5 pm to 7 pm. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 3 pm at Harvest Church, 4865 Sunset Blvd., Lexington, SC. Attendees are requested to don garnet and black as per Stanley’s wish.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Mission Fund at Harvest Church. One can also honor Larry Bruce Stanley Jr.’s memory by sending flowers to the family or planting a tree in his memory.

Through his larger-than-life persona and tireless contributions to the local building industry, Larry Bruce Stanley Jr.’s legacy will continue to inspire and guide generations to come. The community will keep his memory alive, cherishing the laughter and love he shared with them.
