It was a sunny day filled with competition, and the Lexington team showcased their skills alongside talented squads from McCook, North Platte, and Valentine.

McCook Takes the Crown

The day belonged to McCook, who emerged victorious with an impressive score of 308. They were clearly on point and demonstrated a deep understanding of the course. North Platte followed closely behind and secured second place with a final score of 313. Not far behind was Valentine, finishing in third place with a score of 364. The competition was fierce, but the Lexington team kept their spirits high!

Noah Scheer Leads the Way

Among the Lexington varsity players, Noah Scheer took the lead with a score of 84. He played admirably, showing both skill and determination. Other notable scores from the varsity team included Braden Bender with 91, Josiah Adams at 93, Toran Kjar with 102, and Mathias Pepplitsch finishing up at 106. Each player brought their own unique flair to the game, contributing to the collective effort of the team.

Junior Varsity Shines Bright

The Lexington junior varsity team also had their share of the action, finishing with a total score of 407. They certainly held their own against some tough competition! Leading the charge for the junior varsity was Jaxon Neff, who posted a score of 94. He was followed closely by Winston Wright scoring 99, and Ryan Fitzgerald, who managed a respectable 101. Rounding out the scores were Micah Scheer and Drexton Edeal with scores of 113 and 121, respectively. Clearly, the future looks bright for Lexington golf!

Top Performers of the Day

When it comes to individual brilliance, the day showcased a series of phenomenal performances. The top spot was claimed by Reid Loop from McCook, who nailed an impressive 71. Following him was teammate Landon Kmoch with a close score of 72. Third place went to Luke Borges from North Platte with a score of 76. The competition was tight as Keilan Thomsen and Quade White from North Platte rounded out the top five with scores of 77 and 79, respectively. It was evident that the day’s talent was truly remarkable!

Looking Ahead

As the Lexington boys golf team reflects on their performance, they’re not resting for long. They will be back on the course at the Wildhorse Golf Club in Gothenburg bright and early at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 3.
