Lexington County Opens Citizen Engagement Study for Community Input

Lexington Residents, Have Your Say: Citizen Engagement Study Now Open!

Hey there, Lexington! As the leaves continue to fall and the holiday season approaches, we have some exciting news for you. The Lexington County Council has just kicked off their 2024 county-wide Citizen Engagement Study! What’s that, you ask? It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to share your thoughts about the public services that matter to you in our lovely county.

What is the Citizen Engagement Study?

Great question! This helpful study happens every two years, and its main goal is to gauge how residents feel about the services that our county provides. From roads to parks, they want to understand what’s working well and what could use a little TLC. It’s a way for your voices to be heard loud and clear!

The survey will be a mix of phone calls and online surveys, ensuring that everyone has the chance to participate in a way that suits them best. And don’t worry – all your answers are completely confidential and anonymous. This means you can share your honest opinions without any hesitation!

Why Should You Participate?

You might be wondering, “Why should I take the time to fill out this survey?” Well, dear residents, the answer is simple: Your opinions matter! The County Council uses the information gathered from these surveys to shape the budget and the services that impact our daily lives. This is your chance to influence decisions that will help better our community!

How to Get Involved

Ready to make your voice heard? Participating in the study is super easy! All you need to do is head on over to the Lexington County homepage where you’ll find a link to the survey right at the top. It’s also shared on the county’s social media pages. So no excuses – let’s get to it!

The survey will be open until Friday, December 20, so make sure to set a little reminder. Whether you have a few minutes or just a moment to spare, filling out this study can really make a difference.

The Weather Is Looking Great!

Now, speaking of making a difference, we can’t forget to mention that the weather today is looking pretty nice. With mostly sunny skies and a high of 54°F, it’s a perfect day to take a walk on your favorite trail, maybe grab some fresh air at Old Mill Pond Trail, or simply enjoy a cozy evening with your family.

Later tonight, you can expect mostly clear skies giving way to a few clouds, with the temperature dropping to a comfy low of 41°F. So, don’t forget to grab that light jacket before heading out! The winds will be a gentle reminder of the fall season, blowing in from the southwest at 10 to 15 mph.

Get Out There, Lexington!

So, what are you waiting for, Lexington? Get involved in your community by taking part in the Citizen Engagement Study and enjoy this beautiful December day! Remember, your feedback helps shape our county’s future, so don’t miss out on this chance to make a real impact.

We can’t wait to see how your thoughts and insights will help guide the Lexington County Council in the upcoming budget planning. Stay safe, stay engaged, and let’s make Lexington an even better place to live!
