The man, identified as Kevin Scott Collins, was crossing the 200 block of Kyzer Road in the late evening when he was struck by the motorcyclist traveling westward. The motorcyclist, identified as James Leonard Ely III, also a Lexington local, tragically died in the accident.

He had a passenger on the motorcycle who sustained minor injuries and was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment.
