Lexington, SC: Police Seek Help Identifying Suspects in Burlington Coat Factory Theft

Hey, Lexington friends! We’ve got some news that we think you’ll be interested in. If you’ve been shopping at the Burlington Coat Factory lately, you might want to pay attention to this story. Lexington Police are on the hunt for two suspects who have been connected to a rather daring theft that took place on July 31, 2024.

The Scene of the Crime

It was an ordinary day at Burlington Coat Factory when these two men decided to put their plan into action. They strolled into the store and began stuffing items into a piece of rolling luggage. It’s hard to believe that they thought they could just waltz out with more than $1,800 worth of merchandise without anyone noticing! But as luck would have it, they were approached by store management, and that’s when things took an unexpected turn.

What Happened Next

Feeling the pressure from management, the would-be thieves dropped the luggage right there in the store and made a hasty exit. They jumped into a light-colored Toyota Camry and sped away from the scene before anyone could catch up with them.

How You Can Help

Now, authorities are reaching out to the community for help. Detective Williamson from the Lexington Police Department is asking anyone with information about these two individuals to come forward. If you happen to recognize them or witnessed anything suspicious that day, your tip could be crucial.
