Lexington Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify and Locate Suspects in a $1,300 Target Store Shoplifting Case

The Lexington Police Department Requires Public Assistance to Identify and Locate Shoplifting Suspects

Lexington, SC — The Lexington Police Department is calling for public assistance in identifying and locating three suspected shoplifters who reportedly stole goods from the local Target store earlier this summer. The suspects, who are yet to be identified, allegedly absconded with over $1,300 worth of merchandise.

The Offense

The theft occurred on June 23, 2024, in a Target store located off Sunset Boulevard in Lexington. The trio swiftly made off with merchandises amounting to over $1,300 in worth. The case has remained unsolved since then, causing the Lexington Police Department to release surveillance images of the suspects, asking for the public’s help in identifying the culprits.

Images of the Suspects

The images released by the police, depicted below, clearly show the three alleged perpetrators. The community is urged to examine these photographs carefully. Anyone found with pertinent information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of these suspects is encouraged to contact the authorities immediately.

Who to contact?

Lexington PD asks that anyone with potentially useful information contact Detective Arrington by calling 803-358-1514 or emailing tarrington@lexsc.gov. Authorities assure that the informant’s identity will be kept confidential if they so wish.

Midlands Crimestoppers

Alternatively, members of the public who wish to remain anonymous while providing information can submit their tips online via Midlands Crimestoppers at www.midlandscrimestoppers.com. They can also dial 1-888-CRIME-SC to relay their tips directly.

Potential Reward

For those who might be hesitant, there is an additional incentive. Individuals who provide substantial information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward. The exact amount of the reward, however, has not been disclosed by the authorities.

Conclusion

It should be noted that presumed innocence is a basic right. Until the allegations are proven, the suspects should be considered innocent. However, if they are guilty, the Lexington Police Department is determined to hold them accountable for their actions and use this as an opportunity to deter future would-be thieves in Lexington.
