Hey there, Lexington! Big news is coming from one of our most cherished dining spots. The beloved Lizard’s Thicket located at 621 W. Main St. has officially closed its doors as of Monday, March 17, 2025, to undergo some exciting renovations. It looks like we’re in for a change that’s sure to spice things up around here!
So, what exactly is going to happen while Lizard’s Thicket is closed for the next three to four months? Well, the plans are pretty significant. The building, which has been a staple in our community for an impressive 30 years, is set to receive both minor exterior updates and some major interior renovations. It’s about time this beloved spot got a refreshing makeover!
The management is planning to install new kitchen equipment, which means your favorite dishes will be crafted using top-notch technology. On top of that, they’ll be focusing on enhancing accessibility by adding ADA compliant bathrooms. This is fantastic news for all our patrons who appreciate convenience and inclusivity!
When you walk back into Lizard’s Thicket after the renovations, you’ll notice some brand-new booths, giving that extra touch of comfort. Who wouldn’t love sinking into a cozy seat while enjoying their meal? The combination of style and modern functionality will surely elevate our dining experience.
During the closure, we’ll certainly miss diving into those classic meat-and-three lunches and dinners that have become a tradition for so many of us. You know the ones; crispy fried chicken, creamy macaroni and cheese, and the irresistible cornbread dressing. Not to forget, the breakfast options we all love to indulge in! The thought of waiting for those flavorful dishes is almost too much to bear—at least we know they’re coming back better than ever!
Lizard’s Thicket has been a part of the Midlands community for a whopping 47 years, and during that time, they’ve opened 13 locations across the area.
