In a delightful turn of events, Brent Lee, a local Realtor with Coldwell Banker in the beautiful Lexington-Lake Murray area, recently pulled off an extraordinary feat during a charity golf tournament held at the Golden Hills Golf and Country Club. The tournament, aimed at raising funds for Faith United Methodist Church, was also a heartwarming tribute to a dear friend’s father, who was a cherished member of the church community.
On September 14, amidst the excitement of the day, Lee achieved a hole-in-one on the challenging 17th hole, the very hole he had sponsored for the event. This hole, a par-3 that stretches over water and is surrounded by stunning azaleas, has always held a special place in Lee’s golfing heart. The odds of pulling off such a magnificent shot for the average golfer are about 12,500-to-1, making Lee’s success not just impressive but almost miraculous!
Interestingly, his group kicked off their game starting at the 12th hole, which made their journey to the 17th hole their sixth hole of the competition. As magic would have it, Lee decided to use an 8-iron for the 134-yard shot that day. The ball found its way a few feet behind the pin, but in a stunning turn, it spun back and nestled right into the cup!
