Sponsor Our ArticlesAuthorities in Lexington County are urgently seeking assistance in locating several missing teenagers, including 16-year-old Ah`Briel Gammon, who disappeared on March 9, 2025. Other cases include Nazareth Nicole Sanchez-Peralta, missing since March 2021, Elka James, last seen in January 2024, and Antavius Kyleen Jones, missing since May 2024. Community vigilance is essential as families await any news on their loved ones.
In a heart-tugging call for help, authorities in Lexington County are reaching out to the community to assist in their search for several teenagers who have recently vanished under concerning circumstances. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is particularly focused on locating Ah`Briel Gammon, a 16-year-old girl reported missing after leaving her home in Swansea on March 9, 2025.
Ah`Briel is described as an at-risk runaway and has a unique background, originally hailing from California. Authorities believe she might be attempting to make her way back home. Unfortunately, this young girl is navigating her life without many resources—she has no phone and no known connections in South Carolina. When last spotted, she was dressed in a white T-shirt, black and gray jeans, gray slippers, and possibly sporting a blonde or black wig. Anyone who may have seen Ah`Briel or has any information about her whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
In another troubling case, 16-year-old Nazareth Nicole Sanchez-Peralta has been missing since March 30, 2021. The last sighting of her was at her job on Airport Boulevard in West Columbia. Known for her brown hair and brown eyes, Nazareth is about 5’2″ tall and weighs approximately 92 pounds. While she has kept in contact with friends since her disappearance, her exact location remains a mystery. Authorities believe she frequents the Cayce and West Columbia areas. If anyone has any leads or information that could assist in locating her, they’re encouraged to contact the West Columbia Police Department at (803) 794-0721 or reach out to Crime Stoppers.
Another teenager who has caused concern is 14-year-old Elka James, who was reported missing on January 3, 2024. She was last seen at her home on Sunny Side Drive in Cayce around 8:30 PM. Elka is a student at George I Pair in West Columbia and may be staying with friends. Standing at 4’10” and weighing 100 pounds, she had shoulder-length blonde hair, but there’s a possibility she dyed it blue or purple. If you have information regarding Elka’s whereabouts, please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or the Cayce Department of Public Safety at 803-794-0456.
The search is also on for 16-year-old Antavius Kyleen Jones, who was last seen by his family on the evening of May 14, 2024. Antavius stands about 5’6”, weighs approximately 180 pounds, and has distinctive black and brown hair usually styled in dreadlocks. On the day he went missing, he was thought to be wearing white basketball shorts and a black T-shirt. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Antavius to reach out to Investigator J. Shumpert at 803-794-0721 ext. 274 or submit an anonymous tip to CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME SC.
These missing persons cases highlight an urgent need for community awareness and vigilance. It’s essential for the public to keep their eyes open and lend their assistance in locating these vulnerable teens. If you see something, don’t hesitate to report it. Every little bit helps in bringing these young individuals back to their families!
