In a jaw-dropping turn of events, a 36-year-old man from Newport News, Virginia, was apprehended by federal agents on December 17, 2024, after an alarming discovery of homemade explosive devices at his residence. Brad K. Spafford, who lives on a sprawling 20-acre farm approximately 185 miles south of Washington D.C., is now facing serious charges that could have serious implications.
What makes this situation even more unsettling is the sheer quantity of explosive devices found in Spafford’s home. Federal agents seized over 150 homemade explosives, marking the largest stockpile ever recorded by the FBI. He reportedly used a photo of President Biden for target practice at a local shooting range and had expressed dangerous anti-government sentiments in conversations recorded by an informant.
