Exciting News from Columbia: Meet Raiden, the Newest Sea Lion Star!
Columbia, S.C. has added some serious excitement to its animal kingdom with the arrival of a brand-new resident at Sea Lion Landing in Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. After a long, adventurous trek of 1,200 miles, Raiden the sea lion has made himself right at home! This fluffy fellow traveled all the way from Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him here.
A Big Journey for a Big Personality
Imagine being shipped thousands of miles just to become the life of the party! That’s exactly what Raiden did, and trust us, he’s ready to steal the show. His journey wasn’t just a hop and skip—transporting an animal like Raiden requires a lot of care and attention. But with all the right measures in place, he arrived safe and sound.
Introducing Raiden to His New Family
Now, it’s not every day that a sea lion gets to make new friends, so zookeepers took great care in introducing Raiden to his fellow sea lions.
