"Palmetto Proud manufacturing celebration"
The annual South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo, scheduled for November 7-8 at the Greenville Convention Center, has taken acclaiming local manufacturing excellence a notch higher. It has launched Palmetto Proud, a new recognition program that celebrates products made in The Palmetto State, as well as the companies that manufacture them.
“South Carolina is a hotbed of manufacturing ingenuity,” declared Scott Warofka, associate publisher of SC Biz News, the host of the South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo. He added, “Palmetto Proud is our way of shining a spotlight on the innovative companies that call South Carolina home. It’s a celebration of all things manufactured right in our backyard.”
Encompassing all the industrious companies, regardless of the size of their production, the only requirement is that the product is made in South Carolina. Individuals and manufacturers can nominate their South Carolina-manufactured products for this inaugural recognition program.
Mirroring the fresh wave of recognition, this year’s South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo will revolve around the theme of innovation. Content sessions will discuss the latest emerging technology trends, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and autonomous vehicles, and their profound impact on the manufacturing sector. There will be special emphasis on environmental sustainability as well.
An esteemed luncheon on November 7 will see the Palmetto Proud honorees receiving their accolades. Further amplifying the significance of the event, a keynote speaker will be gracing the occasion.
The annual South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo serves as a critical platform that brings together various industry personnel, from decision-makers to stakeholders, to engage in significant dialogues. By launching the Palmetto Proud program, the platform continues to cement its commitment to fostering a vibrant and prospering manufacturing community in South Carolina.
This groundbreaking recognition strategy is set to boost the stature of South Carolina-made products, further elevating its status on the national and global manufacturing map.
