Sunny Days Ahead for Columbia, S.C.

Clear Skies Tonight

As the sun sets tonight, the clouds will gradually clear out, making way for a pleasant evening. Expect temperatures to cool off nicely, sliding down into the upper 50s and lower 60s by morning. A great time to grab a light jacket if you’re stepping out!

Bright Beginnings to the Week

When we wake up on Monday, the skies will be bright and sunny, thanks to high pressure building over the area. This means we’ll see highs reaching between the low to mid-80s. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend some time outdoors—perhaps a nice walk in the park or a picnic at one of our lovely local spots.

Tuesday continues the trend with even more abundant sunshine. With highs expected to hit the mid-80s, it’s another day to soak up the sun. After the wet weather we’ve experienced recently, these clear days are just what we need to lift our spirits!

A Slight Cool Down Ahead

But don’t put away those sweaters just yet! Thanks to the dry air making its way into our area, we can expect the evenings to cool off quickly. Temperatures will drop again into the upper 50s and lower 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. So, for those early commuters, it might be wise to stay cozy!

Clouds and Rain on the Horizon

lower 80s. As we approach Thursday, expect a bit more cloud cover, along with the possibility of a few scattered showers later in the day as a tropical system develops in the Gulf of Mexico.

This system looks to make landfall on the Louisiana coast late Wednesday or early Thursday. As it moves inland towards Mississippi and Alabama, it could bring some much-needed tropical moisture our way. Rain could start to sprinkle over Columbia late Thursday into Friday. With a 60% chance of rain on both Friday and Saturday, it looks like we might be needing our umbrellas over the weekend!

The Weekend Forecast

So, what can you expect on the weekend? More clouds and scattered showers, with temperatures hovering in the low 80s. While the rain could put a damper on outdoor plans, it’s a good time to catch up on some indoor activities or maybe binge-watch your favorite shows!

Stay Prepared!
