Lexington, South Carolina will soon be home to a fresh dining experience as TakoSushi, a Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant, opens its latest branch in the city. The popular restaurant chain is scheduled to launch their newest location at 102 C-W. Main St., Lexington, on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m.
Founded in 2008, TakoSushi has already successfully established multiple locations across South Carolina and Georgia. Its forthcoming Lexington branch is a strategic expansion, representing not just a new location but a homecoming. The fusion-restaurant’s vision to offer a wide variety of cuisines aligns with the local community’s culinary preference for diverse food choices.
“Lexington isn’t just a new location for us—it’s home.”, said founding member and co-owner, as he expressed delight at the prospect of enhancing the city’s gastronomic landscape with TakoSushi’s distinctive offerings.
The menu highlights Latin and Asian cuisine influences by producing dishes such as shrimp shumai, southwest tuna tartare, and over 25 signature sushi rolls. The soon-to-open location aims to replicate the success of its sister branches by offering the same standard of comfort and hospitality.
Food enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the grand opening on Sept. 5. To celebrate its introduction to the community, TakoSushi is offering a free queso starter for a year to the first 25 guests each day visiting the eatery during its opening week.
The dedication to serving both its team and guests has underscored the restaurant’s success. The TakoSushi team expressed confidence that this care and commitment, coupled with their exciting culinary concept, will draw in Lexington diners to experience their take on far-East-meets-far-West flavors for themselves.
Spanning across 2,100 square feet, the new Lexington location features over 100 seats in its indoor and outdoor dining spaces. It is conveniently located near local attractions such as the Icehouse Ampitheater and Virginia Hylton Park, further positioning it as an ideal spot for friends and family to gather and create memories over enjoyable food.
