Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor (710 Meeting St., West Columbia) hosts a passionate performance by Flatland Express at 8 p.m., with the sextet performing a mix of classic gospel, bluegrass, and acoustic re-imaginings of tunes from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Admission is a $10 donation.
Grammy-award-nominated guitarist Rod Harris, Jr. will host “A Night of Jazzy Grooves” at Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St., West Columbia). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Dressy attire is required, and admission is $30.
Take a stroll through history with the Colonial Forts walking tour at the 12,000 Year History Park (1120 Fort Congaree Trl. in Cayce). The tour, beginning at 11 a.m., is free to attend.
The Farm 1780 (1127 Corley Mill Rd.) hosts their annual Spring Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m with live music, a variety of enjoyable activities, and farm fresh goodies. Admission is $25.
Come along to Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St. in Cayce) to enjoy a performance by singer/songwriter Catoe White from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to attend.
Learn about the rich history of our area at the Lexington County Main Library (5440 Augusta Rd.) in another edition of “Historically Speaking,” presented by the Lexington County Museum at 6:30 p.m. This event is free to attend.
The Icehouse Live concert series, presented by Lexington Medical Center, continues at the Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) with an energetic performance from Hijacked, who play covers of 80’s rock, 70’s funk, and today’s dance variety. Showtime is 6:30 p.m. and this show is free to attend.
The Aiken County Historical Museum hosts the Aiken Garden Show starting on Friday, May 17. Explore six different gardens, a National Garden Club Flower Show, and a vendor market from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is free to attend.
On Friday, May 17, the Colonial Life Arena offers a spectacle with “Disney on Ice: Magic in the Stars.” Enjoy the thrilling special effects, eye-catching costumes, and innovative lighting from 7 p.m. onwards. Tickets range from $20 to $95.
End your week by helping combat food insecurity in The Midlands at the Bees & Blossoms Spring fundraiser. The event, held at The Hall at Senate’s End (320 Senate St.), features live music, live painting, silent auction, and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Showtime is 6 p.m. And the fundraiser runs until 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $75.
