Orlando was buzzing with excitement on January 22, 2025, as Toptracer held its much-anticipated 2024 ‘Tracie Range Awards’ at the vibrant Topgolf Orlando, right during the annual PGA Show. This fantastic event gathered golf enthusiasts, industry leaders, and partners to celebrate excellence in the world of golf range technology.
The spotlight shone brightly on the event, with none other than the president of the PGA of America, Don Rea, taking on the role of host. It was a night full of cheer as awards were given to outstanding facilities across the United States and Canada, all of which utilize Toptracer technology to elevate their services to the next level. The awards ceremony saw nearly 60 entries from Toptracer Range’s North American partners competing in various exciting categories, showcasing the diversity and brilliance within the community.
The awards celebrated a wide range of achievements with categories that included Partner of the Year, Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Innovation Award, and the Philanthropic Award, among others. Each category allowed facilities to shine for their unique contributions that have positively impacted their local communities and the golfing experience overall.
The prestigious Partner of the Year title went to Golf Ranch, recognized for its excellent incorporation of Toptracer technology across its four locations, spreading joy and excitement among golfers. Meanwhile, Joe Cochran from Shadow Wood Country Club snagged the coveted Coach of the Year award for his dedication and outstanding service toward club members in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Not to be forgotten, Shanks Driving Range in Brandon, Manitoba was hailed as the Rookie of the Year, earning accolades for its innovative introduction of Toptracer technology to guests. Hang Time Golf, located in Gastonia, North Carolina, took home the Innovation Award for its exceptional programming that is setting new standards in the golfing community.
Event organizers are incredibly proud to showcase charitable efforts with the Philanthropic Award, presented to the Athens Golf Center in Lexington, Kentucky, for its most charitable programming initiatives. Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia, also impressed and earned the Rulers of Engagement award, recognized for its creative approaches to engaging members.
In a heartfelt moment, Arrowood Golf Course in Oceanside, California was acknowledged with the PGA HOPE Award for its commitment to introducing golf to veterans with disabilities. The dedicated duo of Steve DiMarco and Harry Hammond from The Golf Zone Family Fun Center received the Mentor Award, highlighting their vital role in guiding new talent in the sport.
A series of The Amazing Trace awards were also presented, celebrating exceptional facilities across different categories such as Daily Fee Facility for Miracle Hill in Omaha, Nebraska, and the Private Club section for Washington Golf & Country Club in Arlington, Virginia.
