Lexington County, S.C. – A devastating car accident on Monday night has resulted in the untimely death of a 16-year-old student from Irmo High School. The victim, identified by the Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as _Brittany Rosalinda Valencia_ of Columbia, was involved in a collision while traveling on St. Andrew’s Road.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Brittany was driving eastbound on St. Andrew’s Road when her vehicle collided with a car heading in the opposite direction. The crash occurred around 7:30 PM, and emergency responders pronounced Brittany dead at the scene.
The news of Brittany’s passing has deeply affected the Irmo High School community. _Dr. Kaaren W. Hampton,_ the principal of Irmo High School, expressed sorrow in a message sent to families.
