With just weeks away from its highly-anticipated debut in the USL Super League, Lexington Sporting Club appears to be geared up, ready to inject a refreshing bout of excitement into the sporting culture of Lexington, Kentucky.
Meeting Milestone for Women’s Soccer in the Commonwealth
Lexington SC is set to face Tampa Bay Sun FC on Sunday, September 8, at 4 p.m. at the state-of-the-art Lexington SC Stadium. This marks a significant milestone for women’s professional soccer in the commonwealth as the USL Super League conforms to the highest level of U.S. Soccer’s Division One standards, offering players a platform to enhance their skills and compete at an elite level.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, CEO of Lexington Sporting Club, Kim Shelton, said, “This is a thrilling moment for our community and for women’s sports as a whole.”

Before its home debut against Tampa Bay Sun FC, the Super League team will begin play on Sunday, August 25, against Carolina Ascent FC.
