COLUMBIA, S.C. — A Warm Weekend Ahead!
The weekend is shaping up to be a delightful one here in COLUMBIA. Thanks to a high-pressure system sitting prettily over the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, we can expect warm and mostly dry conditions. So, if you’ve been waiting to soak up some sunshine, now is your chance! As the temperatures hover near or slightly above normal, grab your sunglasses and make some outdoor plans!
Friday’s Forecast
Today, we’re starting our day with a splash of high clouds. But don’t let that fool you! As we progress into the afternoon, the skies are expected to clear up beautifully as a front sneaks in from the north. Although this front won’t bring us much in the way of moisture, there is a slight chance of an isolated shower. However, most of us will likely remain dry all day.
The temperatures are looking lovely too, reaching into the mid-80s for the afternoon. After a warm and comfy day, expect the evening to cool down to a pleasant mid-60s range. It’s a great excuse to sit outside and enjoy some fresh air!
Looking Ahead: Sunday and Monday
Fast forward to Sunday and Monday, and it appears we will enjoy much of the same. The weather will stay dry and warm, with temperatures lingering in the low to mid-80s once again. This weekend, think picnic lunches and relaxing strolls in the park — sounds nice, doesn’t it?
But hold on, there’s a twist! Come Monday night, a cold front will make its grand entrance. This front will bring in cooler air but, luckily for our outdoor plans, it won’t come with any rain. So, you don’t have to worry about getting wet!
Tuesday and Beyond: A Refreshing Change
Now, Tuesday is when we’ll really start to feel the change. The cooler weather will make its new home here, as temperatures drop and drier air settles in. It’s the refreshing shift we’ve all been waiting for! As the week goes on, expect a pleasant drop in the humidity levels as well, making our daily outdoor activities more enjoyable.
No Tropical Trouble on the Horizon!
As we look at the bigger weather picture, there’s some good news as well! There’s currently no significant concern about tropical activity that could affect us. Any potential development in the Gulf is expected to stay well south of our area. So, while we can’t control the weather, we can certainly look forward to a calm and lovely week ahead.
Conclusion
In summary, it’s going to be a beautiful weekend in COLUMBIA, with lovely warm temperatures and mostly blue skies. Take some time to enjoy the outdoors, and prepare for some cooler, refreshing weather as we head into the work week. Just don’t forget your light jacket for those evening strolls! Stay tuned for more updates, and enjoy your weekend!
